The survivors of the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda continue to experience extreme poverty and poor health conditions 20 years on. Yesterday, The Rwanda’s leading online newspaper known ”Igihe.com”   published chocking images of a survivor’s family who live in terrible conditions in the capital Kigali.

Mr. Karegeya Alphonse, 74, and His daughter Mukagatare. Karegeya lost a wife, properties and several family relatives during the genocide.

This is the house they live in: no doors, no windows and broken roof.
